The Hofgarten has hosted cabaret and comedy since 1998. Originally an orangery dating from the 18th century, the building has been extensively renovated by comedian Urban Priol and converted into a fantastic venue for cabaret and light entertainment. Thanks to outstanding acoustics, modern technical equipment and flexible seating, the audience can enjoy a variety of light entertainment by top performers at close quarters. The cabaret and revue programme, featuring big names from all over the German-speaking world, is a top attraction in the Lower Main region of Bavaria. The Hofgarten presents cabaret and comedy at its best. If you’re lucky you might even catch the director himself, Urban Priol.

A cinema rich in tradition, the Casino Film Theatre was completely refurbished in 2004. The two cinemas, one with 186 seats and the other with 63, and the salon, which was completed in 2014 and seats 24 people, exclusively screen independent and arthouse films. The salon offers the atmosphere of a living room, and visitors can order drinks and light snacks to their seat. The cosy café on the ground floor is a welcoming place to relax before and after screenings, or at any other time.

The beating heart of Aschaffenburg’s club scene opened in 1984 as a live music club (called Klimperkasten) and rescued the town from musical tedium.
Since the live club opened, the team has put on more than 7,500 events featuring top-ranking acts from the world of music and attracting over two million visitors.
Colos-Saal has won multiple awards down the years for its exceptional programme of live music and events covering almost every genre you could think of.
